This product has an AE code error that goes off anytime there is an extra drip. The code cannot be turned off by a customer you have to have an appliance person or plumber come out to do this. We have spent over the amount we spent on this dishwasher turning this code off via a professional. I have all other LG appliances and have no issues but this dishwasher is absolute junk. DO NOT BUY.

Timely service not good

we bought an LG dishwasher at Lowes with an extended warranty. Not long after the soap disk release mechanism didnt work. We made a call to LG and a local mechanic came looked at the problem and said that a part would be ordered he would return and install it. Several month with no action we called again and an LG mechanic came. He ordered the part and it came the next day and installed it that same week. It is working now.

Its not recommended. Technically the control panel has a design issue and not sealed very well so its easily to have moisture problem and the LED light on the control panel will be flickering. After I met this issue I found other people also have this problem online. Control panel only have 1 year warranty. Although I bought this dishwasher for 3 years but I actually only used this dishwasher for 1 year and then I met this problem. From service side I contact the online service agent and the agent told me the control panel has 5 year warrantynot 1 year as listed in the user manual and I didnt realize its only 1 year in the user manual. So I contact the LG authorized repair store and they charged me 50 dollars after they come and told me the control panel is out of warranty. After I contact the service agent again they just say sorry they made a mistake but I need to eat up the 50 dollars cost even they think they give the wrong info. I wont ask authorized technician to come and repair if the online agent told me the control panel is out of warranty. My conclusion is they are not responsible for their product and not responsible for what they told to their customer. So its not recommended.

DO NOT BUY - Terrible Dishwasher

Purchased a complete kitchen appliance package from Home Depot in fall of 2020. Appliances were delivered in 2021. Soon after warranty expired the dishwasher began showing the AE code. After looking online because LG was no help via phone or website I saw there was an internal leak. After a few days the dishwasher began working again. About 6 months later the same issue occurred. I began troubleshooting and looked at the door seal and determined it should be replaced. I replaced the lower door seal and we still had the AE code. I removed the dishwasher and put it on sawhorses in my garage leveled it connected water supply and electrical. I ran the dishwasher for numerous cycles with and without soap on different cycles etc. I never saw any leaks or had any issues. I reinstalled the dishwasher and leveled it and it worked fine. Now it 6 months later and the dishwasher is showing the AE code again The tray underneath is wet so there is a leak AGAIN This dishwasher is less than 3 years old and Ive had this issue numerous times. This dishwasher is the biggest piece of junk Do not buy Im going to buy a new dishwasher today because Im tired of dealing with this one and the crappy LG service. My model is LDF5678SS

Purchased this dishwasher when we had our kitchen remodled a few years ago. With in the first two years we had to get a control board replaced. Then with in another year had to get another control board replaced. Now after those repairs water began leaking from under the dishwasher and it only sometimes completed its wash cycle. We were informed that it would need a new sump sensor and drain pump by the repair tech which would be the cost of a new dishwasher.

BUYER BEWARE Purchased the LDF5455BB 3 years ago. Its motor caused an electrical fire. LG replaced the motor under warranty then the immediately control panel fried and LG wont return phone calls. Machine doesnt run and has to be disconnected or it turns itself on and off chimes and runs on its own

We purchased our dishwasher as a part of a kitchen bundle from Home Depot on July 2020.. due to the covid pandemic shortage we didnt actually receive it until October or November 2020 this dishwasher is almost terrible. We replaced an old Magic Chef dishwasher with this one and its terrible how new machines dont work the way old ones do. This one doesnt clean most dishes and we have already replaced the digital panel/motherboard the rinse aid compartment always gets clogged and the drain pump is being replaced this week. For such a reputable brand this dishwasher does not work as it should.

Did not last am not happy with the product at all. The impeller pump went bad and any replacement part I can find is at least 25 of the purchase price.

your service man LG on his uniform did not know what was wrong with it - he is coming back now that 2 large boxes of replacement parts are here. I hope to get my dishwasher back soon

Terrible

I bought in 2020 and been having so many issues. It will flicker like crazy mid cycle and sometimes it wont work. I can go a few days with not be able to get it to turn on. LG is not in my local area so will it fix.I doubt I will ever buy anything LG and literally want to get rid of all my LG products.

Cleans exceptionally

Unit cleans better then advertised. However we are now going on to our 3rd control board in less than 3 years. If LG could figure out how to create a durable board I cant give 5 stars.

Does a pretty good job

We have had this dishwasher for three years and Im glad we got the three year extended warranty. One month before the warranty ran out the control panel went bad. It was fully covered and fixed in a couple days but I feel it shouldnt have failed that quick. That said the dishwasher works well

Nice dishwasher but does not last

This was my 2nd LG dishwasher in 2 years. This washer lasted two years and the motor burned up. The 10 year direct drive motor warranty only covers the part. It was going to cost me MORE than what the dishwasher was worth to cover the repair that LG would not go good on. I have been a faithful LG customer for over 20 years they have now lost my business. I would stay away from all LG dishwashers they just do not LAST and the warranty is not good

LG Customer service is TERRIBLE

I bought this dishwasher two years ago and the main control panel died. The main control panel has a 5 year warranty. LG customer service has given me the run around for the past month and now tells me the control panel part has been discontinued even though Lowes is selling the same model. Very frustrating. I would stay away from this model.

Worst dishwasher ever Never worked but 2 months. Bought extra warranty. The keyboard kept thinking the door wasnt closed so it wouldnt turn on. They fixed it and then it did it again a few months later. Even though its still under warranty they will DO NOTHING about it. I will never buy another LG product again.

they did a great job on the repair. to find out what was wrong it and repairing it about 1 hour. they only thing that was bad it took a month just to get the part that was needed.

Quiet and Spacious

Pros - LOVE the stainless steel inside and spacious racks that can be modified . Very quiet system . Cons- when rolling out the bottom rack it can come completely off the track if not careful . Cumbersome when its heavily loaded . Also dishes are not always dry however this may be operator error . Need to read up more on drying time Its high tech - lots of buttons /options .

Disappointing

We brought this dishwasher a little over a year ago Worked well for about 6 months then stopped working in mid cycle go everything has been tested tested electrically on the outside but LG says my receipt is not good enough and wont do anything very disappointing customer service is lousy

Decent Dishwasher

Had it less than 1 year and both motors broke. Luckily had LG replace. Drying takes forever and not completely dried afterwards. Otherwise okay dishwasher.
