I like the fit and appearance. The size is excellent. I would not recommend a microwave cabinet - the "over the range" microwave is the only way to go.

Bought this to replace 12 year old over-the-range microwave oven. Installed fairly easily, but had to drill a few holes as the old holes did not line up with this oven. Looks great and performs well. Quieter than unit it replaced. Very happy with it so far.

I was using a 25+ year old microwave that was working fine, however it took up so much counter space. I finally bought this to use over my range. It is perfect. I am not tall but I have no trouble reaching anything I have put in this microwave. Sleek finish and looks great with my other Whirlpool appliances.

We had purchased a microwave hood combination from Lowe's. It started to make a noise when the fan came on during cooking. Lowe's stood behind the microwave and replaced it right away. I must say we have used only Whirlpool appliances (washer/dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave and stove) for for the last 25 years and that was the only problem and now the new microwave is working great. I would say that this shows the outstanding value and longevity for Whirlpool products.

Upper bolt and nut malfunction

Nut broke off on right side top installation with bolt part way through nut. Had to cut remainder of bolt off to get microwave back out from under cabinet. Had to put nut on exposed cut off bolt after installation with larger washers because hold had to be enlarged to get it out originally. It was special order (white) and we could not wait for replacement.

I replaced a microwave hood that was installed in 1985. I was so pleased to know that this was actually similar in use so the switch over was so easy. But the light functions and fan functions were updated and much improved. The interior space is great and I am very pleased with my new purchase of a little over a month ago.

I bought this because physically it matched my new stove. I'm a little disappointed that it seems kind of outdated even though it is brand new. It still has "old fashioned" light bulbs for the interior and the surface light for the stove instead of LEDs. Mine also came missing its User Guide manual, and although I have asked for one from several sources, to this date I have not received one. My previous microwave had the option of defrosting by time (which I also use for reheating things), but IF this one can do that I haven't found out how--I refer you again to the missing User Guide comment. This appliance works fine and it looks good with my new stove, so overall I'm satisfied BUT it does seem to be due for an update in my estimation.

Bought this microwave to replace one that was nearly a decade old; was in a hurry to replace because we had become VERY dependent on a microwave. Like this new one (purchased about 2 weeks ago) very much--except failed to look for a feature to stop the turntable, and this one lacks that feature. [My oversight! :-( ] I don't use that feature every day, but occasionally...
The key pad has fewer options than anticipated--but with the table with instructions on the inside bottom of the appliance, I'm getting used to it.
Like the ability to adjust the volume or completely silence the alarm tones--so don't awaken folks when I want to use it in the middle of the night! ;-)
Overall, it has been a good replacement for my former microwave!
