We were so excited about our Speed Queen purchase, and have heard such amazing things. After less than a month our dryer's timer stopped working. I started the dryer at night before bed and when I woke up it was still running...could of burnt the house down, the clothes were SO hot. It has been over a month and getting it fixed through the warranty is slow. I don't know if I can trust this machine. We spent a lot of money and I'm not sure if it was worth it. Did we just get a fluke lemon dryer? So far the washer has been great.

Worst purchase ever, company would not replace the dryer $1500 was spent for a new dryer that needed a motor and now still making a new squeezing sound, 2 more parts ordered. My 6 yr old speed queen dryer needed z$1000 in parts + labor. Don't listen to they last 20 yrs

Excellent overall machine that performs well. The only exception in the lint filter. There needs to be a gasket of some sort to prevent lint from getting underneath it. I need to remove it with a wrench every week or so to prevent the bypass lint from building up in the exhaust dryer vent. This is unacceptable for a machine in this price range, I reported it and they sent an insert for the top of the lint filter which does nothing to help the filter seal around the filter edges, but was a nice gesture. Other people have complained about this same problem online so there is obviously a design flaw.

House came with Whirlpool no agitator washing machine and large dryer. Clothes in washer had dry spots and were twisted way too much. Dried clothes came out so twisted I would have to iron t-shirts and everything else. We had laundromats in Chicago area and always had Speen Queen in them. Great product.

Dryer is solidly built and has no problems handling anything I put it in so far. I really like the lint filter inside the door instead of on top like I always had before.

Excellent quality, ease of use, gets my clothes clean and not as wet when putting in dryer. The wash cycle is just the right amount of time. My husband regrets putting off purchasing the washer and dryer set. Guess it's a man thing ha ha.

My other gas dryer was 4 years old when it stopped working. The warranty was over after the first year. The cost of repairing was not worth it. My husband said buy a Speed Queen dryer because he liked the warranty. My Speed Queen dryer does not leave marks on my laundry like my old machine. The lint screen is easy to clean.

This Speed Queen Dryer replaces my 42-year-old Maytag Dryer. It's quiet, has a larger tub, and dries clothes so quickly. Sheets don't get tangled and balled up. It's large enough to adequately dry blankets and bedspreads. I love it!

An outstanding dryer. My wife like everything about it and the filter cleaning system is as good as it gets. This dryer compliments very well the Speed Queen washer we installed at the same time as the dryer, both replacing:
-- A monster Sears front-loading limited water washing machine, which was forever
dirty, perhaps moldy and never would clean clothes, even adequately, often leaving
behind soap residue in the form of slime and;
--An accompanying front-loading Sears dryer, which was only adequate.
The Speed Queen washer and dryer together make for outstanding laundry room machines! My wife is very happy!!

So far so good. One issue is the rebate which was a main selling point. The appliance company did not give me the paper work need then later said they provided it. Having a difficult time actually receiving the $300 rebate and now I am being told 8-10 weeks for processing. Seems and smells like a gimmick to me. Lots of red tape and I am confident that I will never see the $300. If it goes much further, I plan to contact the authorities as this rebate offer may be a scam.

Very well built dryer, no rattling or vibration during use. Dries quickly, however, one month in it stopped heating. Think it needs a timer. Plan to see if the dealer will exchange for the top model. We bought the top model washer and it's amazing. Our clothes are cleaner than they have been for 30 years. We have had a few front loaders.

Machine feels well made and is sturdy. There is no clanging of the drum when going into spin cycle w/ heavy duty loads. Clothes are clean and very well wrung out after spin cycle. Stain cycle really does get the stains out . So happy with my purchase!. I would definitely recommend to anyone in the market for a new washing machine.
